Thee Pitts Again BBQ Restaurant has been family owned and operated since Cheryl and Roger Wagner opened it in 1979, with our first location in Scottsdale, Arizona. To help promote the business they then began competing in national BBQ competitions throughout the states.
In 1995 along with the help of their children,(Chris & Megan) they relocated their business to Phoenix, Arizona. Later in the year the Wagners were asked by Channel 3 to do a monthly spot on the news to talk about BBQ. The segment aired from 1995 to 1999 and was know to the viewers as, "The BBQ Guy". Then in 2001 they again moved their business to a different location in Glendale, Arizona and are all located there
In 2007 they received a call from the Food Network and were asked to be on national show called "Diner Drive-ins and Dives" hosted by Guy Fieri. The show was taped in December 2007, it took 3 days to film and was aired in April 2008.
In 2010 they were given the opportunity to open their restaurant concept in Colorado. Later that year Rog, Cher, Chris and Meg opened a smaller concept in Silverton, Colorado, sharing the responsibility equally taking turns going back and forth from Arizona to Colorado to run both places.
In 2011 the Wagners received a call from Channel 8, they informed the Wagners that Thee Pitts Again was chosen to be on their show called. "Check Please" Channel 8 then came out and taped the show it was aired 3 weeks later.
Since 1979 the Wagners continued to compete in BBQ competitions and have over 300 awards for their BBQ competitions like t6he Jack Daniels invitational, Memphis in May , and The American Royal to name a few.
